Catching Up

Not too much going on this weekend. Yesterday they had the motorcycle races on the frozen Ottawa River, but by the time I dug myself out of the driveway, most of the racers and onlookers were already in the local watering hole having BEvERages and exchanging lies. I carried on with my 6K run and quite enjoyed myself. It was quiet and snowy and just the perfect temperature.

Today was my run in town, 19K LSD. The day was bright and sunny but a wind was starting to pick up. I'm not even going to comment, what can I say that hasn't been said before about this winter. We have another Winter Storm Watch for later today or even this evening.

So, back to running, as always the faster groups started out and then we were off. It was a beautiful day, even after yesterday's dump of snow. Again we were on the roadside as the sidewalks had not been cleared.

No pictures from today's run, nothing earth shattering to report. Our group leader is leaving to go and live out in British Columbia, so it was a little sad to say goodbye. But as you know, runners' always stay in touch and we will be sending out all of our running updates out to her.

Just a quiet weekend all round, which is fine with me, although I have to admit I am a little tired (but a good tired) after today's run.

Oh, okay one more picutre of snow....but that's it I promise.....

Enjoy your day!

Life's fun if you don't weaken.

Lily

OK I know this is wrong and please feel free to slap me LOL. But I LIKE your pics of the snow. It makes me feel so much better about the 4 inches we have here :P

Lily, That's a LOT of snow. Wow! I'm very impressed you run in that. Great job on getting in your LSD run!

Hi Lily

Although it is a pretty well known fact with friends and family that I hate the cold, I do rather like the way it looks. I'm a summer person who likes it in the 90s and just loves to soak up the sun. If I didn't have a good job and all my family in Michigan...

Sometimes the quiet weekends are the best and I am certainly looking forward to some of those.

Best of luck with your training Lily and I'm gong to be watching you;-)

One I gotta say about these runners of yours... they read the blogs and even comment. Impressive! I have readers but only few comment-ers! (-:

And HEY! I saw you running today... you were in a pack of four just after the bridge at the 417...heading back to the RR. I was going to honk and wave... but figured I'd scare you off the bridge or knock you off your pace...and I wasn't for sure it was you (you runners all dress alike... hard to tell till you're up close!) hee hee hee
Your little house looks good, but I like it better in the summer!

I'm with you Bill. I'm a summer person too! Having been born in the year of the snake, I far prefer soaking up the sun....
