Last weekend was the Richmond Road Race, one of my VERY favourite races....
it was cold and snowy |
suiting up for the race, not too sure who I'm talking with |

I really don't want to do the same races over and over again, my tiny little brain gets too bored with repetition and slowly shuts down, an event has to be fun, new, different and a challenge. A cycling friend sent me a link to the Warrior Dash in July...now THIS I might do!!!
Life's fun if you don't weaken,

I too have been sluggish this week, despite promises to myself to get moving. Bah! Last year I signed up super early for races and ended up not running two of them. I hated losing that money. So far I haven't signed up for any spring races though there are a number I'd like to do. I'm such a cheapskate.
Is now the time for us to kick your butt to get moving????? A lot of folks around here are gaga over that Warrior Dash too! Why not just play in the mud and drink beer at home????
warrior dash sounds like fun.
i'm feeling sluggish too, but i'm also not feeling well so i suspect that's the root cause for me. at least i hope so.
You look fabulous in orange!! I know what you mean about repeating things, I think that is why I travel for so many races, I like to mix it up!
I think that is what I love most about my training right now. It changes so much that I am never bored. Very easy for me if things are the same.
I do think that finding a new event will light a new fire within you.
Love the pictures!
In theory the Warrior Dash is fun...but it's so expensive...
Thanks Lily! That is so kind of you to say those nice things and vote! :)
I actually take a certain amount of ocmfort in running some of the same races every year. I like routine, I guess.
If I register, I feel committed to running it. So far, I've never skipped out on a paid registration. So far.
I'm been feeling sluggish the past few weeks also...so I understand.
The warrior dash sounds like such fun...I'll be really excited to hear all about it if you decide to go for it :)
There's a 2011 kilt run???? I'm so in!
Maybe I'll do Richmond next year... though there was rumbling of going to Texas. No sure when that run is.
I have a couple of favorite races that I like to do every year, but other than that, I'm all about new!
i love the new blog. very nice. you are looking good!
It's tough this time of year with the darkness and cold weather. All you can do is get some races on the calendar and realize that you have to train for them now.
It looks like a tough race with all that snow and icy roads.
In march I will be in Scotland, who knows if I will be able to enter a kilt race?
Many times I could not attend the event but only for health situations.
Have a good week.
I just registered for the Kilt Run ... Bring It!
I had some races last year that I really enjoyed and was so sure I'd do again this year. Now that it is time, I think I wanting some fresh races instead. But then I kind of want to see if I can PR on this one trail course, so who knows what will happen.
But now I want to run in a kilt!
When I am in the case of situation. I don't think much about it. Because if I do the other
