Monday night I did however, go downtown to the Bytowne Cinema to see the Banff Mountain Film Festival. All I can say is WOW! The evening was action packed with independent short films of extreme sports and one feature film which left me in awe. Crossing the Ditch was the world's first Trans-Tasman kayak expedition from Australia to New Zealand. Take the time to read about this adventure, it will truly amaze you!
As I sit here reflecting on my quiet little life, there are those out there living their's. Sometimes you just need a little push to get out the door....don't waste a second of this life...it is a gift, not a given...

The kayak adventure film sounds like something I hope gets distributed down here, most likely on DVD. Our video stores are closed in my area, so here's hoping at least Netflix picks it up.
Saw "Ride the Divide" a couple of months ago, about mtb-ers riding the Continental Divide Trail. Special interest in that as a friend lives a half mile away in NM. What an insane thing to do, but then they still had all their fingers and toes, so guess it's doable. Mtbs with aerobars? OK, why not. Crazy begets crazy!
