- This weekend I'll be heading down to Kingston visit with my friend. I wasn't able to get there last weekend due to a miserable cold I picked up (again). I've been asked by family to come down and discuss some critical life decisions. Since I've been close to the family since I was 18 years old and am considered "family", my input, although it will not be a determining factor, will be considered since I do know how my friend would like to live or in this case die. She will hopefully know that I am there when I go to see her on Sunday. Levels of consciousness are now becoming vague and more often than not, she does not respond. Although she will sometime squeeze your hand if you ask her if she is in pain. I will be looking to the Great Above for guidance. Please God show me the way and give me the strength I need to have so I don’t become a blithering idiot when I’m visiting.
- My neighbour dropped over the other day to ask me when I was going to rake up the leaves that are still plasterd to my lawn. Apparently there has been great discussions about the state of my property this spring...HELLO? Excuse me, the snow melted ~ what 72 hours ago!! Do I come over to your house and ask when you are going to clean up the pigstye you have IN your house? NO!!! Nuff said.....
- Our weather has been stellar and dispite being sick (since October), I have been out for some pretty spectacular bike rides. It has been windy, windy, windy but still nice nonetheless. It feels great to have the sun on my face and bugs in my teeth. I'm finding that cycling is even strengthening my knee. Even though I still haven't had my Shimano RT80 shoes fitted for the clipless pedals yet (tomorrow, I promise, along with getting a computer and some bag accessories). I've been using my shoes and can already feel a difference, however, one of the screws fell out of one of the clips so now I'll need to buy some spares. I never knew that would happen. I'm such a newbie...I even found a twelve week training schedule that I'm close to following for the RLCT, can you believe that in twelve weeks I'll be riding a double century. Yup, 100k on the Saturday and cycling back on the Sunday....Yea ME!!!
Life's fun if you don't weaken,
Lily
