Cardinals were my favorite birds in winter when I lived in MA. They added color to monochromatic landscape. I miss them here even though we don't have snow. We do have woodpeckers though.

I hope Lily enjoyed the bird watching as much as those you are sharing it with today!

Such hardy 'snowbirds.' They look so beautiful against that white backdrop.

You gave us a nice picture of The two woodpeckers. Enjoy your bird watching but you need to run too. :)

Lovely snowbird perspective. The only snowbirds I come in contact with are of the human variety that I spend time with when Rudy and I visit his parents in Arizona during the winter months.

Happy Wordless Wednesday!

I love Cardinals but we just don't get them here very often. I think I've seen one in 34 years, he must have been lost.

Love the pic of the woodpecker twins - looks like a face off!

Those two woodpeckers must be waiting on the other to start dinner.

Nice birdies! I rescued a poor male cardinal who crashed into our window about two weeks ago and kept him overnight. He seemed fine the next morning but did not return to our feeder until yesterday, to my relief.
