Thanks everybody, that was a photo I took on a really cold wintery day in 2007, he was hunkered down trying to stay warm....

as for Cardinal Richelieu, I don't think my little cardinal is that ruthless!! LOL

...& ya...we used to leave out birdseed n' suet for the cardinals n' chickadees in the winter...

...prob'ly not politically (audubon-ally ???) correct these days..."why, these creatures need to fend for themselves so they don't become dependent upon mankind, bgw"...
